Hello, Sparkles
I’m taking a brief reprieve from the struggle that is trying to figure out what I want on my Christmas table layout.
Should the food be on the table, or on a side board? Do I need to get a ginger-bread house as a centerpiece? Should each person get a candy-dish as their centerpiece? Do I need party favors? Should I wrap them like little gifts? Am I over thinking this? By the by, if you didn’t answer “Yes” to that last question, you might be as neurotic as I am.
My little break today involves window shopping of the most exquisite type: drooling over New Year’s Eve dresses. I’ll most likely end up wearing something like my little black dress, but that doesn’t mean I can’t browse the dazzlingly sparkly things, does it?
This first gown has a daring neckline and it’s absolutely stunning. Probably not once it’s on my body, though, as I’m not shaped exactly like the model. Then again, who is? It will look especially strange when I decide to try and slip a tank top underneath to avoid showing “too much” cleavage – a thing that Cole assures me does not exist. We can agree to disagree.
I’m surprised that I like this second dress as much as I do, I’m not usually a big fan of pink, but there’s something about it that’s caught my eye. It’s downright charming, and it’s got a modest neckline (bonus). Very cute. Because I’m slightly shorter than the model, it would even fall just a bit lower on my leg. I can’t claim to be immune to the loveliness.
This last one is pure elegance. It almost makes me wish I had an event to go to where a fishtail gown wouldn’t be completely over the top…almost.
That was a lovely escape from the chaos of my thoughts.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
What are you wearing for new years?
