Nose Rings = Barbie Earrings

In an earlier post I mentioned that I wanted to give dainty nose rings a try as earrings for Eve. While the clerk behind the counter undoubtedly had questions about why I was purchasing not one, but two nose rings, while not sporting a piercing myself, she was polite enough not to ask.

I chose this pair because I’ve wanted hoops for Eve for quite a while.

Being designed for humans, though, even the smaller earrings I’ve tried before have been annoying in one form or another.  It seems they’re either too large for her head, and reach part way down her neck or even touch her shoulders; or they stick out of the doll’s head at an odd angle.  The worst, though, is when it’s a combination of the two.

As you can see, not so with these dainty nose piercings, they look like regular earrings, which I love.  Anne and Willow are still not pierced, but I’ll get to it as I start posing them more for dioramas and social media.

I’m seriously considering ordering this set from Amazon. I know, I know, a bit of a leap of faith - but then again, how often do you get 20 studs for that little? Then again, this set has little hearts that I can’t deny have turned my head :)
