Wig Review
Back in April of 2020, which feels like it was about 10 years ago now, I balded Eve’; I actually felt pretty bad about it, but glue head won the battle. I really liked the two wigs I got for her, but decided a few months ago to order another wig. You know, a shorter one, because she looked so cute with short hair:
What happened to short hair? Well…I got distracted and lured in by the promise of long, black, wavy tresses. Apparently, I can’t help myself. That, and I’m finding it challenging to find shorter wigs.
Please note: I did NOT get this free in exchange for a review, I bought it.
Oh my god - so soft!
Like so many other things in life, these wigs are very much a “you get what you pay for” thing. These are really, really nice! They’re about 50$ each and I’m getting them from Volga Dolls on Etsy (no affiliate link here, sigh).
I know that’s not a price everyone can just spend willy-nilly on a doll and, admittedly, it was a splurge for me, too. But it was worth it, I think I may order another one for styling purposes.
One thing I will say that’s a downside is that, because it’s a cap, it pulls off easily, and I’m not used to having to be quite that gentle with my dolls. I managed to pull this wig off maybe a dozen times or so just getting these pictures, it’s going to take some getting used to.
It’s well worth it with how soft they are and how good it looks - these pictures really don’t do it justice.
I’m so glad I just took the plunge and got her some wonderful wigs, she looks beautiful and, while this probably makes me sound nuts, she deserves to be treated well.
So yeah, for anyone who ends up with a doll suffering from glue head they just can’t get rid of: just find yourself a quality wig. Don’t be afraid of it.
Good luck and see you next time.
