Update

Hi folks,

I’m writing this update from the hospital, it’s just to let you know what’s goin’ on. 

I’m post-surgical and supposed to be at home, but you know what they say about the best laid plans.

I was discharged while my leg was still numb all the way up to my thigh and things did not go well. See, I live on the 4th floor and my neighborhood has tons of construction happening (including the sidewalk in front of my place being torn up).  Unfortunately, the combination of these factors caused a fall.

As yet, I have no idea if any additional damage has been done because I can’t feel anything (blessing and curse).  I watched, dumbstruck, as they replaced four stitches in my leg and I felt absolutely nothing.

Anyway, they’re going to keep me here for a while, when I asked I was told “Maybe two weeks”. Ack! Let’s hope not. I already miss my dog :(
