Sairee Beach, Koh Tao
While we’re no longer on the island, I”m pouting a bit, I figure it’s never too late to share pictures from a vacation. Especially not when the location in question is as beautiful as Koh Tao’s Sairee Beach.
This was day one AKA the only day we weren’t snorkeling (which resulted in a crazy sunburn for yours truly) or in dive class from sunrise to sunset with four hours of homework a night on top. We really tried to cram far too much into this part of our vacation and I feel like we missed out on the opportunity to just laze about on the beach as a result.
Note to self: schedule more time in tropical paradise on the next trip. Should I really have to tell myself something that obvious? 😉
This area isn’t exactly a quiet spot, there was a bar just across the soi from where we were staying and they played live music until around 01:00…when I needed to get up for diving class at 06:00.
Note to self: earbuds are your friend.
Thankfully, these pictures were taken pre-sleep deprivation / tired zombification. I have no idea how I passed the written exams for diving certification.
We were fairly lucky with a somewhat overcast day, which meant fewer beach-goers, though if you think it means it wasn’t crawling with tourists, including yours truly, you’d be very wrong. We were like ants at a picnic. Timing and patience were required to get shots without other people in them.
🥰 Thank you to my wonderful hubby, Logan, for putting your skill and passion for photography toward these amazing photos. I couldn’t have done it without you, quite literally. 😍
