Dolly Parton Challenge 7
Nicholai, much like most of the other characters that weren’t the original trio (Eve, Anne, and Willow) never really got much of the spotlight on the blog. In fact, he was never inserted into the story. I’ve got time (thankfully) to think about where I want him to fit in. After taking these pictures, though, I think I have a much better grasp of who he is going to be.
Nicholai is a smart guy who decided to offer himself to the tech sector before graduating from college. He made a decent living, but once he started comparing his salary to that of the average American programmer, he realized he was being underpaid. Fed up, he decided to duck out of the rat race and start his own consulting company. He’s been pleased with the results thus far as it offers him more freedom to choose where and when he works, negotiate his own contracts, and keep a larger portion of his earnings.
He was downright shocked when a junior colleague had never watched “Star Wars” (original films, not the prequel nonsense). He’s not afraid to admit he loves shopping for a nicely fitted suit, he has plans to stay at a Star Wars themed hotel someday, and he’s already planning his retirement not far from a beach.
