Does Wishing Work?!

Does Wishing Work?!

Just after Christmas, I wrote a post decrying the lack of curvy, made to move barbies. I discovered there were articulated, curvy dolls that were similar to jointed fashionistas, but none on the same level as a made-to-move Barbie. Better than having straight or bent arms, unable to move, and stiff legs, but I’m spoiled for posing with Eve.

And then, it happened…she appeared. Perhaps she’s been here all along, and only just appeared in my searches recently. I was just surprised to find her on Amazon.DE - she seemed to come from nowhere.

And now there are three curvy, articulated Barbies. The difference is that this one has made to move level articulation (as you can see from her poses):

While I’m not a fan of the bright pink hair, it’s a step in the right direction.  Assuming one could find a head with a matching skin tone, a body swap with less attention-grabbing hair could be managed.  I have to wonder, if I wish for the rest on my “want it” list, will they soon follow?  Worth a shot.

Here’s the wish list.  I’d like both male and female dolls with MtM level articulation, different heights, different body shapes, and a rainbow of both hair and skin tones. Yes, I think that just about covers it.

I may have to get myself one of these pink-haired lovelies and get a new head on her.  Although, perhaps now isn’t the time…after all, I did just order two more female dolls *and* a 12” action figure … who I’m still not convinced I shouldn’t call a ken doll.  I’m on the fence about whether to tough it out or not, I guess only time will tell.

As always, thanks for reading :)
