Autumn Layers
As you can see, I’ve embraced the gorgeous scarves and warm layers necessary to fend off catching a cold—and might I just say, they look lovely. Unfortunately, my efforts were unable to fend off the rather aggressive cold as it spread through the office like wildfire. I’m one of the many victims.
I’m going to spend the next couple of days getting plenty of fluids, wrapping myself in a bundle, and having tissues on hand. I’ve already sent Cole to the store to pick up a bunch of cup noodles. I don’t trust him to do much more than boil water, despite our intro to Asian cooking course.
I know this is going to sound crazy, but “Yay!” for the time of year that causes sore throats, sneezing, and coughs. Not that I’m especially happy to be getting sick—the scratchy throat is probably the worst part—but I’m grateful that it has given me a bit of time to share the pictures I took not too long ago. Plus, I get these yummy lemon lozenges and an excuse to have ice cream for dinner – like I said, looking on the bright side.
Cole and I are still house/condo/place hunting and we think we might have found something that’ll work out. I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch, though. Fingers crossed. In such close quarters, I’m absolutely convinced he’s is going to come down with my cold, poor guy! I feel bad infecting him, especially when he brings me “feel better soon” flowers.
Awww!
Thanks for stopping in, and may you avoid my germs!
