Capsule Wardrobe # 12 & 13
Cole arranged his vacation for this week, so we’ve taken advantage with a staycation of sorts; it’s been wonderful having him around so much. We’ve been spending a lot of time enjoying the city and taking Krull on long walks to the park. Today, though, we’ve packed a bit too much into the evening, so we enlisted Anne’s help to look after our little fur ball.
Because she’d be here anyway, we figured we might as well put her in a comfy, park-friendly, Netflix-binge worthy capsule outfit; she hasn’t seen “Stranger Things” yet…strap in!
She’s got sneakers for chasing Krull at the park: check.
Durable denim: check.
A comfy top: check.
And last, but not least, a beautiful cardigan for if the wind picks up: check.
This look is all about practicality, but it still looks great.
I know Krull is in good hands.
As to yours truly, last month I layered a statement sleeve blouse under a tee shirt (you can see the post here); I knew the look would most likely work just as well with pieces from the capsule wardrobe, I was right. The end result is something I’d wear regardless of capsule wardrobe limitations, I love the combination.
I wore the same style leggings as the other outfit, and stuck with black boots. In place of the white, statement sleeve blouse and black tee, I’m wearing the shockingly versatile floral top beneath my black, three-quarter sleeve blouse. Because of the layering, I won’t need to take a jacket with me for this evening, which is a bonus as it means that, if I go purse free, I’ll be hands-free entirely. I actually left one of my bags at the movies a few days ago, thankfully the person who found it worked there, so everything was still inside when we rushed back to get it. I’d rather not worry about it tonight.
Anne did my hair, though I think with double fishtail braids I look a little like a Padme wanna-be. I left my shoulders bare for a bit of flirtation—it’s a date, after all—wrapped a scarf around my neck for a dash of drama, and added a long necklace. I like that the outfit has a lot of black (very Copenhagen), but there’s a good amount of color as well; it’s got an overall romantic feel to it.
Thanks for stopping by to check out capsule wardrobe outfit # 12 & 13 - I hope you’re enjoying the looks thus far. We’re almost to the halfway mark, I’m getting nervous about combinations - fingers crossed!
