Capsule Conclusion
These are the final two looks of the ten-piece capsule wardrobe challenge.
That’s right, thirty outfits in thirty days.
We made it!
Technically, there are more than ten additional looks that could be put together from the capsule wardrobe. That being said, I challenged myself to thirty, and I’m looking forward to a bit more freedom that, at this point, I feel I can fully appreciate for June’s posts.
If you haven’t tried a capsule wardrobe, I highly recommend it. Before I started this project, I found myself looking at my wardrobe and actually saying to myself, “I have nothing to wear”, which this challenge has proved was/is entirely false.
I was thinking much too far in the box, worried about showing off new things, and I just didn’t feel inspired. I know how cliché it sounds, but it’s true; this challenge has opened my eyes and altered my perception. I’m absolutely certain I haven’t come close to experiencing the full potential of the contents of my wardrobe and, after today, I’m looking forward to diving back in.
The next time I do a capsule wardrobe—and there will be a next time, this was too much fun not to do again—I’m not going to put limitations on my accessories, though; I missed my earrings far too much.
As for the two looks rounding out this particular challenge, they embody the raison d’être of not only the capsule wardrobe, but my entire wardrobe: to be functional, comfortable, and stylish—ideally in equal parts.
I hope you enjoyed checking out all the looks from this challenge.
Thanks for sticking with me through it, and I’ll see you in June :)
