Capsule Wadrobe # 26
Today is one of those double-shift days at the shop – opening shift seven hours, closing shift six hours – UHG! I’m pouting a bit, sorry about that. Anyway, a double shift means I’ve got very little time, and I have issues with time management. In my tiny “between-shifts” window I had to…
*grab a coffee while waiting for the metro
*make a quick trip to the bakery (called ahead to reserve my order)
*take Krull for his afternoon jaunt (30 minutes - Cole took him in the morning, and he’ll take him tonight)
*take photos (another 30 minutes - yes, even with Cole’s help)
*wolf down re-heated leftover lasagna (I’m eating as I type up this post, actually)
Once the post is up, I miiiiight just have enough time to start laundry (probably not unless it’s pre-sorted, let’s hope), and then I’m headed straight back to work.
On the way home I was feeling a bit pressed for time (still am), and I wanted to make sure the camera and tripod were good to go upon arrival. I texted Cole, telling him I needed to get pictures as soon as I walked through the door. Poor phrasing.
He snapped this photo (above) before I’d had a chance to even put anything down. Can you sense the eye roll? Made me laugh, though, and that’s never a bad thing :)
If my mini (not so mini) rant above didn’t give it away already, the insanity is still happening at work, at least until next week. A little relief is headed my way starting on Monday; my employer’s two sons will each be taking between ten and fifteen hours at the shop, which means I’m able to ease into a regular, full-time position. I was asked if I want to return to part time and, while I miss quiet time here at the condo, I like contributing more (financially) to the household; I’d be crazy to turn down the bump in hours.
I’m going to have around twenty free hours next week that I didn’t have this week. I’m not sure what to do with all that time. Perhaps I could clean up the place so it doesn’t look like hoarders live here, or I might actually get a chance to catch up on posts, spend some quality time at the gym, walk my dog, and…dare I wish it…actually get some quality sleep! Oh, the glorious possibilities.
I know this post is short, but I promise I’ll have more coming soon; Anne and Willow are coming over this weekend to finish up the capsule wardrobe challenge. The last four looks of our thirty-look challenge. Ten pieces certainly goes a long way, doesn’t it?
I’ll see you next time :)
