Our Generation

I’m still struggling to get my vacation pictures - yes, still. I managed to move them entirely onto the laptop, which appears to be having problems where all the pictures are pixelated upon opening. I really hope they’re not like that forever and it’s pissing me off. I have some folks working on it, though (it’s in a queue for help), and they’ve been talking me through troubleshooting over the phone. It’s…a lot. I’m trying not to feel disheartened.

Rather than waiting for those pictures, I thought I’d share what I’m up to right now. I was just going to show you the “after”, but screw it, why not include the process? Show, don’'t tell. So today, I’m showing you the Our Generation Hay or Neigh Horse Set.

I’m in the process of making a barn space for Socks and the other horses I’m planning to repaint. I saw this adorable Our Generation set, in person, and thought it looked about right for Barbie. It’s pretty rare for me to find anything in my local shop, so I pounced.

What do you think, scaled properly for Barbie?

I’m probably going to give it a repaint as I’d like it to look a bit more used, but I love this set.

Naturally she won’t be wearing this outfit while doing her barn stuff, it’s just what she had on 😆

This set (locally) cost about 150dkk, which is roughly $25 usd. I’m going to have to try and figure out how to make my own bales of hay, clearly, or my bank account is going to smack me!
