Capsule Wardrobe # 19 & 20

Tomorrow, after work, I’ll be escorting Willow to the airport; she’s going to be spending the next week visiting some friends in Italy. 

It’s funny, but she asked me to create a capsule wardrobe for her—it only had to last her the one week—so she could pack just one small bag and carry it on, rather than having checked luggage.  Even though I put together what I thought would be an ample wardrobe (20 pieces), she decided that it just wasn’t enough and won’t be travelling light…unless “light” means two medium suitcases and a carry-on, haha.

Seems as she won’t be around for the full week—I’m green with envy—she posed as a model today after being popped into a capsule wardrobe outfit.  She wanted me to create a stylish look that would be easy to travel in, though she’ll be using similar items from her own wardrobe.

I went for comfortable layers—those aircraft can get downright chilly—without a lot of jewelry to fuss with while getting through the security gate.  This is pretty much what I wear when I fly, too, except I prefer flats as they’re easier, and faster, to slip in and out of at the airports that require that sort of thing.

While she’s away, Anne and I have planned a couple of low-key outings and we’re going to cling to each other until our awesome trio is in the same zip code again.

As for my look, this is what I happened to be wearing today. 

The extra blouse layer is mainly because this morning when I got up it was unpleasantly cool in our place; that, and it just looks awesome.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the looks shared above; we’re officially down to needing ten more outfits - the home stretch to reach our capsule wardrobe goals.
